Daniel 1
[8]But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
God gave us power and authority to choose what we want and would like to be.In the above portion of scripture, the Word of God says, But Daniel purposed it in his heart not to defile himself. This means that he had options, he had a choice, but he new his purpose.Daniel knew that He had a race to run, a destination to reach and a purpose to fulfill.
Challenges may come, but never allo them to take away your purpose and destiny. While some fail, you can still make up your mind not to fail. When you are are driven by purpose, you don’t just do things for the sake of doing them.Champions don’t follow the crowd, they always know which way to go.You don’t get forced by current situation to make decisions you will regret about.
With just one meal, Daniel would have defiled and robbed himself of his destiny.Sometimes challenges are just there to teach you to fight a good fight, take good decisions and discover the power and authority within you.

Hi Mthokozisi
Thanks for the follow (though my family and close friends say it would be far more entertaining with a video-camera # in “real life”, rather than in cyberspace!) and all the best with your blog
Kind regards and have a great day/evening “over there”

I have always enjoyed studying the lessons from the life of Daniel. He was definitely purpose-driven.
