Deuteronomy 30:15 – 16 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
We cannot ignore the fact that we are living in times whereby people have become too smart to serve the Lord. Where people are too beautiful and too handsome to surrender themselves to God. Being a Christian to some sounds like demeaning their worth, with most of the people not willing to swallow their pride and serve the Lord the way they should.
We are living in a society where even young people find it very hard to make right decisions and choices for their lives. There are people that are not serious about anything in life. You have to very careful what you want, what you want to become and where you want to go in life. Choose wisely who you want to put in your life. You can choose today to bury your past and move on with your life.
Well, there is some things in life which you don’t or can’t choose to be part of. For example, you can’t change the days of the week, month or year. But you can only choose what you want to do on a particular day. One cannot choose their biological parents, your family, your mother language and so on…
But the good news is that when you grow up you can always choose what you want. I understand that you never chose where you started, but you can choose where want to go regardless of where you come from. Your history and background will not stop you. Some are who they are today because of the choices they made. Not everyone who lives out in the streets is an orphan, some made choices while some merely followed friends and peers. My dear young brothers and sisters, never take serious decisions under the influence of peer pressure.
